Vaynerchuck talked about the fact that often, most people see the success of others and they think that their success was achieved it overnight and consequently they start imagining that they can also achieve the same level of success overnight. Neither of this is true. It takes immense amount of hard work, determination, long hours and resilience for those people to get the success they have. In fact, the truth of the matter is that it takes a great deal of hard work to produce or build anything of value, this goes for our professional lives as well.
Looking at successful people, most of us think:
“How did they find success so fast and without difficulty?”
“Why can’t I find success like they did?”
“When will I get where they are?”
“Why is it taking so much time for me to get there?”
We immediately start thinking that they had it effortlessly and they just knew what had to be done. However, the truth is that they had put in the hours of hard work and sweat when nobody was watching and when they were not making that much progress, in other words when they were strugglers themselves. None of us saw these important aspects, these aspects which truly define their achievements.
If you’ve been working hard for a while and are not getting the desired results, just keep moving forward; don’t lose confidence in your dreams and sooner or later you will be rewarded. The wait, the setbacks, the impediments are tests; to see how much you want it, how determined you are to get the success you dream of.
