After distressing magi-less month, finally good news has been broken. Nestle’s Maggi noodles have been found perfectly to be safe for eating by a Government-approved lab.
The lead levels have been found to be under permissible limits & in compliance with the country’s food safety standards.
Yes, this implies Maggi will be back soon! The tests were led by FSSAI-approved CFTRI (Central Food Technological Research Institute) on five samples sent by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) when Maggi had failed to comply with admissible levels of lead and MSG. Goa FDA had sent these samples for retesting as the reliability of the initial report was question by many.
Heaving a sigh of relief, Nestle’s new Chief Suresh Narayanan guaranteed Maggi will be back soon. While we wonder if the destruction of thousands of Maggi Packets was in vain & based on some hasty reports, we are happy our most favorite 2-minute snack is back.
