1. Aloe hydrating moisturizer for sensitive skin
If you have dry, sensitive skin, aloe gel is an excellent option for moisturizing it and calming inflammations. Aloe encourages growth of new skin cells to heal and repair cracking and flaking skin.
This moisturizer also contains jojoba and coconut oils for added nourishment and hydration.
How to make it:
Take 2tbsp coconut oil, 2tbsp jojoba oil and 2tbsp of beeswax pellets in a double boiler and warm them together till they start melting. Whisk them to make a good mix.
Next, allow the mix to cool for about an hour and add 1 cup of fresh aloe gel extracted from the stem of an aloe plant. Use a hand mixer to mix them vigorously. Add in 8-9 drops of lavender or tea tree essential oil and blend some more to make a fluffy cream.
Transfer your face cream into a glass jar and keep it at room temperature for about 2-3 months.
2. Natural oil face and body moisturizer
This blend of natural hydrating oils is especially suited for those with extremely dry skin. It contains Emu oil which has a similar chemical composition to that of sebum, the natural oil our bodies produce. It helps heal and repair dry and damaged skin. The other ingredient is argan oil, a light, non-greasy oil that soothes dry skin and keeps the moisture locked in.
How to make it:
This is a simple recipe that requires mixing 2tbsp argan oil and ¾tsp emu oil. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil like chamomile, lavender, peppermint or rose geranium oil. Essential oils add not only a pleasant fragrance to the mix but also give your moisturizer a soothing effect when massaged on the skin. Keep the mix in a spray bottle and massage a few pumps on dry skin.
3. Honey-glycerin moisturizing face mask
Honey has the ability to not only retain moisture but also to prevent trans-epidermal water loss or moisture loss from the skin’s surface. It has strong anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that protect and soothe the skin.
Glycerin is also an excellent moisturizer that balances the skin’s pH too. Together, the two give the skin a dewy appearance with a soft, supple texture.
How to make it:
Take 2tbsp honey, preferably manuka honey and 2tbsp of glycerin. Mix them well and add a few drops of lemon juice for its skin brightening properties. Apply this mix on the face and leave it on for 20 minutes till the mask dries. Rinse with warm water.

This shea butter cream is an excellent choice for those who suffer from extreme dryness with conditions like eczema.
How to make it:
Take 1tbsp of oats and grind it to make a fine powder. Next, melt 2tbsp coconut oil and 2tbsp shea butter in a double boiler. Add in the ground oats and 5-6 drops of rose geranium essential oil. Break a capsule of vitamin E and mix all the ingredients so that they are equally distributed. Use a blender to achieve a creamy consistency. Cool and store your cream in a glass container.

How to make it:
Take a cup of coconut oil and heat it in a double boiler. Add 2tbsp green tea or open up 4 green tea bags into the oil and stir well. Let the mixture heat for about 25-30 minutes so that the antioxidants from the green tea get infused into the coconut oil.
Next, strain out the leaves from the oil with a strainer or a cheesecloth. Refrigerate the infused oil and when it solidifies, blend it well with a hand mixer to get a creamy consistency. Transfer it to a glass container. If you live in a warm climate, you may need to refrigerate your cream because coconut oil melts at a relatively lower temperature.
