Do you know what the 40 time is? — It’s a common catchphrase when discussing National Football League expectants. The 40, refers to the 40 yard dash, is a shorthand metric for comparative speeds among NFL prospects. It is unquestionably one of the most important results of any of the combine or pro day testing. However, that’s only true for non-quarterback positions — the QB still has to show his accuracy and arm strength.
For all the others, though, the 40 yard dash is the do-or-die challenge. Without any further adieu, here’s the list of fastest 40 yard dash at the 2016 NFL.
